SCARS – Ray Kennedy
As I recollect it was way back in the distant future. Back in the days when folk practiced the XTreme art of living. Some even went so far as to go to the extent of loving. And then there are the resident reminders of how fragile we really are. Scars.

Most everyone has a favorite Country Western song I suspect. Or will have a favorite Country Western song. This one is a little different.
A Tribute to Ray Kennedy and his many contributions to the Music Industry.

Scars
Ray Kennedy
Right through the wing
of his eagle tattoo
Jake pointed out where
the bullet passed through
Pete said that ain’t nothin
as he pulled off his hat
It took 57 stitches
to put my hairline back
Red rolled up his shirt and laughed,
said boy’s I’ll top that
Showed them where a bucking brama bull
nearly stomped him right in half
Scars
Everyone’s got a story
A tall tale of glory
A flesh and blood reminder
Of how fragile we are
The stranger he just sat there
Till the last one was through
And old Carter said Hey buddy!
How about you?
His lips began to tremble
And a tear run from his eye
As told about the woman
who destroyed his life
The worst wound in the whole wide world
never leaves a mark
Cause all I have’s a hole
where I used to have a heart
Scars every ones got a story
a different tale of glory
You ain’t lived
till you’ve got scars
You ain’t loved
till you’ve got scars
