i’m irish and i’m really interested and proud of my name and background. any ideas on tattoos for this stuff?

i’m the direct descendent of one of the first in my family to come to america. at least the first that we really know about. i wanna get a tattoo but i want it to be something i’ll always love that will always mean something to me so that i won’t regret it later. any ideas? remember…i want to keep it irish
i already know what my family crest is but as all are, it’s pretty busy or big or whatever. does anyone know where i should get it if i do at all? fyi: i’ll only get a tattoo on my arms, legs, and upper back right under the neck

Your family crest will never change and if your willing to have work done on your upper back, it would be the prefect place for it.
Depending on how long your last name is you can incorperate that into the design, a longer last name would look good shoulder to shoulder across the top whereas a shorter last name would look better under.

Knot work, if you have a favorite design can work, but your crest/name will never change.

a lot of my irish friends get their family crests as tatoos. i don’t know how you find out what your family crest is, but good luck!

Four-leaf clover. Maybe a sheep? If you can find your family crest online, then that would be neat too.

a potatoe… so you will always have one. Just kidding. I would probably say to go with the crest, if I understood the "direct descendent of one of the first" I might help you out some more. If you email me, I could help you some more
