I have a small tattoo on my right ankle and a bigger one on my left hip, I now want a claddagh which is enclosed by celtic knots, but I dont know where to get it. I was going to go for my ribs but the tattoo artist said that would be a weird place for a claddagh. Im at a loss, I dont know where to put it. Please help! also no lower back or neck or arms. thanks!

If you want it on your ribs, get it there. You’ve got your tat halfway figured out. It’s 50:50 between design and placement. You should definitely consider other people’s views/opinions but yours matters most in this case. If you’re still at a loss, I’d suggest the back of your shoulder?

He was irish and a big thing in ireland is the "Claddagh ring"
its a heart being held by hands on either side & the heart is wearing a crown, the hands represent friendship, the love, and the crown friendship. The poem that was read at his funeral was "God Saw"

So based on the poem as well as him being free from suffering and battling cancer i want the hands to extend into wings to show freedom. And under it i want to have his signature.

I want to get this either on the top of my foot or between my shoulder blades.

What do you think of the tattoo idea and placement?
Thanks for your opinion!

i can totally empathize with you, so sorry for your loss.
i lost my grandmother to cancer when she was 71, too. i got her name and her favorite flower tattooed to my left shoulderblade.
i think your back is a good idea, and your concept sounds beautiful, go for it!

since my grandma’s name is on my back, i kind of make a joke about it sometimes too, because she was always a joker, even right before she died, so i always say my grandma’s got my back.

if anyone tells you you will regret this idea, don’t believe them or doubt yourself, i am proud of myself every day for getting mine, and i think you will be too.
good luck

I am considering getting a tattoo on my ankle-possibly rosary beads or some sort of thin chain design around my ankle and extending to my foot with either a heart or a Claddagh at the end. What does everyone think?
to clarify.. I am not getting a Claddagh AND a rosary. I am only considering the type of beading that is used in a rosary.

I currently have 3 tattoo’s and I am 21 years old. They all mean something to me, I would never even consider getting something that did not have a personal meaning.

no
