Anybody have ideas for an Irish half-sleeve tattoo (elbow to wrist)?

I am tattooing "God" and "Family" in Irish-Gaelic on the underside of each of my forearms, and I wanted to make it a half sleeve going from elbow to wrist…I want to illustrate it with Irish artwork…any good ideas on what the artwork could be, or any suggestions?

Maybe look at the artwork in the Book of Kells for inspiration.

Also be careful what translations you use for God and family. There are different ways to say family in Irish- clann, muintir and teaghlach and they all have different meanings.

an internet search of irish designs and artwork could yield some results. Whatever you get should be meaningful to you. I researched for 3 years before I found some germanic designs I wanted tattooed on me.

I would get a version of the Tree of Life. I think the symbolism is great and they look good too. I love celtic knotwork though, all five of my tattoos have celtic notes to them. I think the Tree of Life would have to wrap around your arm a bit, but it would still look pretty darn cool.

You could put some of the New Grange design into your tattoo

Might look cool as a filler for your tattoo.
