Should I get this 4 leaf clover tattoo?

so i’m turning 27 and gettin a tattoo covered up with a 4 leaf clover. just wondering if the whole blade in the middle is a little too tacky or go for it?? oh, and i’m only getting the 1 clover, not the other small ones above it. http://www.tattoojohnny.com/tattoo-design-view.asp?sku=BNF-00044&x=adult&m=&r=60&s=small,medium,large&k=four%20leaf%20clover&a=&c=bw,color&page=6

I don’t think the blades are bad, I would just get something that is a little more original if it were me. I like the idea of a clover, thought about getting one for my friend and then decided I didn’t want people thinking I got it because I’m irish (i’m not) so I got something custom instead to remember him by. It’s not a bad design, just try to make it a bit more your own. Good luck!

The clover design is a little tacky, and seems like an easy cop-out for a cover up – unless of course it has some sort of meaning or relevance to your life.
If you’re just going for it because you need to cover up your other tattoo and you feel that you like this design, I honestly don’t think it’s a good enough reason. You could get something a lot more timeless than that that reflects your personality or something permanent and meaningful in your life – sometimes even stylistic swirls or tribal designs are better than a symbol that you will probably grow tired of.
But if you’re going to go for the clover, I’d suggest……not to have the blade. Unless you’re the fierce macho type. In which case you should go for the blade. But maybe have it slicing through something a little cooler than a clover :) Just my opinion, but I hope it helps!
