Celtic Tattoo Designs

I am writing a paper about Christian tattoos, and I would love it if some of you could share your Christian tattoos with me and tell me about the impact they have had on your faith. Pictures would also be nice, as long as you don’t mind them ending up in a research paper. (This paper is portraying Christian tattoos in a positive light)

I sadly do not have any pictures at this time, but perhaps in the coming days I can upload a couple. But I currently have two tattoos that were constructed with Christian ideas. One is that of a tombstone for my brother who passed away, but has the slogan "my lord and savior" positioned on the cross which comes up from the main stone. This tattoo is a constant reminder for me to do all I do for my Lord and Savior, because like my brother you never know when the Lord is going to call you heavenward. I also have the trinity symbol located between my shoulder blades on my back. This tattoo is going to be added to as time and money make it possible, but even by itself it is almost like a seal placed on my life by God. To me it represents exactly what I believe in and why I live like I do. I hope to someday add scripture to it and create a cross underneath that looks like nails coming in and out of my flesh, which would represent that what he did on the cross for all is part of my life and remind me that it was my sin that made that have to happen. I’m the type of person that constantly has to keep reminding myself how God call’s me to live, and tattoos are my way of sharing my lifestyle and faith while also strengthening it at the same time.

Oh wait, you understand italian? Well in that case I suggest you get a tattoo that says "Vivere Libero" which means "Live Free" or "Vivo Libero" which means "I live free". Get it done in old english lettering or something cool and put it on the lower stomach or upper back in the center. Spero di aver contribuito a voi!

I’m getting a tattoo in a few weeks and i’ve looked into what i want, i want something that means something and looks cool. I’m into the viking and the rune tattoo’s and i’ve found one that looks pretty good but i dont know what it means, this is the tattoo that i want

I’d like to know what the 3 almost like A’s in norse runes mean? Also the wording on the outside, is that something that goes with the symbols or is that just random words that i can change and alter into something meaningful to me?

The outside is the Elder Futhark (Norse alphabet) written in order.

There’s not exact meaning for that. They were probably just trying to show off their pride in/appreciation of Norse.

I am looking to create a tattoo with the phrase, "This too shall pass" in Gaelic. I have found a few translations online already but obviously want it to be correct since it will be permanently inked into my skin! The couple translations I have found are "Imeoidh se seo leis" and "Imeoidh se seo fosta" with certain accents in each. I was wondering if anyone could give me the best possible translation with references. Thanks!
